The Goddess Movement

Who is the Goddess?
It is the sacred feminine energy in every human being, both men and women. It is an inseparable aspect of the God energy. In the evolution of our Western culture, we humans have simply chosen to view God primarily as "masculine." But, in truth, God encompasses both the masculine and the feminine. Here in the end of the first decade of the 21st Century, we feel the need for balance between the God and Goddess energies.

What is the Goddess Purpose?
To awaken us to our Divine purpose, and release the enlightened soul so that we can create a world based on the laws of compassion and peace!

The "Goddess Movement," new in 2010, is about freeing women, especially, to do their own work....recognizing that the 1960's movement freed women mostly to work for others. Women are now being inspired to unleash their hearts and souls to do the work they really care about, whatever work really "makes their hearts sing!"

What does the Goddess energy look like?
We know it as compassion, patience, empowerment, inclusion, benevolence, peace, harmony, and unconditional love.

The Goddess believes in Divine Connection--that all human beings of every race, creed and color, everywhere on Planet Earth, are connected. The Goddess knows that we are all more alike than un-alike.

From Spiritual perspective, there is only ONE ENERGY. But we see it as two - masculine and feminine---to create the contrast that would advance this "leading edge experience." But, we have over-emphasized one energy to the detriment of the other. Now, it is time to REUNITE the divided energies into a POWERFUL WHOLE.

Rather than moving step-by step in a traditional linear fashion to arrive at an end-point, the Goddess Energy is non-linear and endlessly flowing in and through all of life, in constant circulation! We see the Goddess Energy in circles, the horizontal figure-8 sign of Infinity, the waves and oceans, spontaneous synchronicity and magical connections between souls. The Goddess believes in "quantum leaps," jumping imperceptibly from ground-level to mountain-top in the flash of an eye....the way a light particle magically shifts into a wave form in quantum physics.

The Goddess sees the beauty and ultimate potential in everyone, and then arranges circumstances to challenge us and prod us to fulfill that potential. Whether you are man or woman, we discover the Goddess in us through love, appreciation, giving freely, meditation, yoga, tai chi, and countless other actions that spring from the heart and soul.

Why the Goddess now?
To help us awaken and become aware. We create miracles in our lives every day, but we don't know it! It feels as though the Goddess has been "on vacation," awaiting the time when the world would invite her back. The Goddess never forces or imposes her will. She quietly awaits in peace for the request to appear.

To free us to do work that matters to us, not to work "because we have to."

The Goddess is appearing now because this is the end of the "Warrior Age." In her 1990 book, The Female Advantage, my brilliant friend, Sally Helgesen, explains the Warrior Age this way:

"Every one of our public fields of endeavor---business, government, medicine, law, technology, urban design---has been shaped by the ideals, images, values, an language of the Warrior....the traditional male hero who charges into the battle with the aim of dominating and winning....his quest is not only for dominance, but also for autonomy....thus, the needs for autonomy, competition, and control have been built into the very structure of those organizations that have served our culture in the public realm."

"Splitting off values for human connection and interdependence and assigning them to the female sphere has left the public world a hostile place, in thrall to notions of competition that have become more dangerous as technology becomes more potent....the strain of having to live with the threat of nuclear apocalypse on one hand, and the reality of environmental degradation on the other."

Moving from the Warrior age to the Goddess age is the end of the Mechanistic Era and the transformation to the Magical Era.

How can the Goddess affect you?
